For those wanting a superior Linux experience, we recommend you try Ubuntu's latest release (suitable for the desktop and laptop, netbook, mobile internet device (e.g. pdas), and the server), 8.10 aka "Intrepid Ibex". 8.10 is the latest 6 monthly release of Ubuntu's extremely popular Linux distribution.

Ubuntu is the Linux distribution that Egressive has chosen to use on all of its commercial customer servers and hosting infrastructure, and on nearly all of its internal administrator and developer desktops and laptops. It's technically outstanding, and philosophically and ethically exemplary - something we can't say about any of the other major computer system vendors out there.
