Egressive possesses significant internal expertise to provide assistance with everything from the most basic to the most obscure Linux-related challenges you might encounter. For our Egressive Linux Reference Platform, we currently employ Ubuntu Linux for which we are recognised support vendor. In addition to Ubuntu, our internal development and desktop systems run various Linux variants like Mandrake Linux and Gentoo Linux. We even have a couple people using the latest addition to the open source UNIX family - the variant of FreeBSD UNIX employed by Apple on which they have built Mac OS X (a very tidy system, even if it isn't open source).

Community Linux Support

Egressive focuses on commercial support for businesses. We are, however, very interested in working with the very energetic, constructive, and competent local Linux user community. If you are a private individual seeking support for your Linux system, we recommend that you contact your nearest Linux Users Group (aka LUG). In New Zealand, have a look for your local NZ Linux User Group site. Our neighbourhood LUG is the very active Canterbury LUG.
