The MacDiarmid Institute Website Launched

We are delighted to announce the launch of the newly redesigned MacDiarmid Institute website. The redesign was initiated by new Institute Director, Professor Kathryn McGrath, who recognised the need to provide a more dynamic, rich and accessible information resource online to help promote the inspiring projects being undertaken by the Institute's research teams.

Our design and development team has enjoyed working with the Institute's Centre Manager, Emily Sullivan, and designer Dafnis Varas, to re-imagine the Institute's site over the past few months. We think the end result has been well worth the effort.

The new website is built on the Drupal CMS and offers Institute staff a substantial resource which they can maintain themselves. For example, the rich researcher profiles enable the Institutes researchers to easily maintain accounts of their current projects, including the project teams, upload publications, and otherwise promote their work with educational materials, case studies ("Our Stories"). The website helps the Institute showcase new and exciting work in areas like nanotechnology, profile the people involved, and discuss the implications.

We have created a case study to provide some more insight into the project.
