Egressive director Dave Lane has been elected President of the New Zealand Open Source Society. Dave was one of the founding members of the society, and has been actively involved with the society throughout its existence, in both a personal capacity and through Egressive.

The New Zealand Open Source Society is a non-profit organisation set up to protect, advocate and advance the use of Open Source Software in New Zealand.
