22 Feb Earthquake Update Two

Egressive is now up and running from our "backup office" (one of our homes which has power and internet access), and we're available to provide support for any of our customers needing it. 

Requests for assistance are already rolling in, and we're addressing those. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have concerns about your systems or websites - we're ready to help. We're also back to work on development projects that were underway before the latest quake.

Our hosting infrastructure has remained live throughout the last few days, although there have been a few load related issues which resulted in brief periods where some sites received error messages (related to database connections). These have now been resolved. 

Many thanks to Unleash, who manage the hosting facility in which our servers reside - their excellent disaster planning has stood them (and all of us) in good stead. Their diesel backup generator kicked in quickly after the quake taking over from their backup battery powers systems, meaning total continuity of service. Our hats off to them.
