NZ Institute of Economic Research

The NZIER provides a range of economic analysis services for clients in the public and private sectors.

The web site needed to provide an overview of the services offered by NZIER, provide an incentive and process for becoming a member, and provide a publishing system for the range of reports that NZIER provide.

Development involved an extended period of conceptual work to produce a visual style that NZIER felt reflected their current brand and the expectations of their members and to clearly identify the requirements of the web site, the primary foci, and the way people were expected to interact with the content.

A Members Only area was set up to manage access to publications and allow NZIER staff to easily release reports to specific time frames. This system needed to allow for a range of different types of visitor with both the interface and permissions changing in response to a visitors role.

The Publishing process was refined to allow NZIER staff control over the timing of publications appearing on the site and the moderation of any publications created. This workflow was refined during development as a result of ongoing cinsultation between Egressive and NZIER.

The web site is now part of our ongoing support process with regular communication with NZIER staff and new development in progress.
