Cycling Advocates' Network (CAN)

A nation-wide organisation supporting cycling advocacy groups at the local and national levels. This site offers members of the NZ cycling community vast resources for online collaboration, communication with members, event coordination, policy development, and submissions to government. It features online donations and commerce capabilities and not only the national organisation, but provides configurable spaces which regional advocacy groups can use to communicate with their own members on local issues. This site was built with the aid of a Digital Strategy grant from the government, and was a finalist in the 2008 NZ Open Source Awards in the category of "Best use of Open Source Software in the Community".
